Trauma & Individual Therapy for adults in Chilliwack, the Fraser Valley, and British Columbia

Untangle the experiences and thought patterns that leave you stuck.

Ever feel stuck, unable to change or reach for the things you care about, because you’re barely holding it together as is?

  • you feel broken, damaged, scarred by your past - and every new challenge feels like it’s opening up old wounds.

  • you blame yourself for not being over something that happened so long ago.

  • you’re overwhelmed with shame - each new set-back feels like it’s announcing that you must be the problem.

  • your emotions seem out of control - your reactions seem way too big for the current situation.

  • you keep on hurting the people you love most, acting in ways that don’t fit with the person you want to be.

  • you want to change, but the thought of opening up past wounds fills you with dread.

  • you’ve tried CBT and talk therapy, and the only thing that’s changed is that you feel even more broken.

You’re ready for more than just change, but transformation. You want to respond, instead of react.

I work with people facing those same challenges every day.

One of the greatest privileges of this work is getting to help people who have been stuck in old patterns to experience dramatic changes in a surprisingly short amount of time. Before working with me, clients frequently describe themselves as hopeless, shameful, worthless, powerless, angry, and anxious.

But when we’re done, their words are completely different. Words such as at ease, confident, empowered, grateful, peaceful, and surprised are suddenly more fitting for their experience.

I use a non-pathological approach - I see symptoms as strategies that have helped you survive, not character defects or permanent disorders. And strategies can be updated when our bodies know the old ones aren’t needed anymore. They are a part of your story, but they don’t need to hold you back anymore.

My approach integrates both brain-based and body-based (somatic) tools. I believe true healing involves not just thinking differently, but feeling differently in your body and your nervous system. Together, we’ll work in a way that’s grounded, compassionate, and aligned with your unique needs.

I’m trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps people process trauma and distress without needing to talk through every detail. ART can be especially helpful for anxiety, PTSD, and past experiences that feel “stuck,” and I’ve found it particularly supportive for neurodivergent individuals.

If you’re feeling ready — or even just curious — about what healing could look like for you, I’d be honoured to support you. You're not alone. Together, we can work toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and hopeful.

When it comes to processing old wounds that hurt us or leave us feeling stuck, counselling can be truly transformative. As we develop new ways of responding instead of reacting, we discover resilience opportunities for change that may have seemed impossible.
